Rayya Deeb began her career in television production, working with HBO, Comedy Central, and PBS. She then spent three years at Fred Roos Productions in feature development. As a screenwriter, Rayya collaborated on projects for Disney, Lionsgate, Escape Artists, and Golden Globe-winning filmmaker Hany Abu-Assad. She currently serves as director of development for Digital Cinema Collective.

In 2016, she independently published her debut novel, Seneca Rebel, the first book in a trilogy that concluded in 2025 with Seneca Evolution, which earned a Kirkus 'Get It' recommendation. She also partnered with Emmy-winning experience designers to create an immersive story world as a companion to the series.

Born in London and raised in Northern Virginia, Rayya graduated from Virginia Tech. She now lives in Los Angeles with her husband, two daughters, their awesome dog, and a serious tennis habit.

Rayya is currently at work on a new novel set in the world of tennis—a story about what the body holds onto after the mind has tried to erase it.
